Stairs can be a significant hazard to visitors and employees, and within the UK in a commercial building the use of stair nosings or stair edgings is a legal requirement, please see FAQ's for more details. Our own unique Multitread range of Carborundum filled Aluminium stair nosings are designed and manufactured by us in the UK, and includes a range of modular and stand alone nosing profiles that are suitable for heavily foot trafficked areas such as railways and in schools. Our anti slip stair treads and nosings feature designs in a range of colours that can be used to create a contrasting nosing to help meet current legislation such as building regulations Doc M and K, and British Standards. Once applied, these treads and safety stair nosings will immediately enhance safety on stairs, and are suitable for interior and exterior use and all foot traffic levels. Our range offers a variety of profile designs that can be set into the substrate or fitted against floor finishes, or can be surface mounted with the use of our QA5 ramped edge profile or the integral ramp on the QA9 and QA10.
