BIS10- Carborundum Filled Brass Anti Slip Inserts
BIS10 anti-slip inserts are manufactured from a solid brass Carrier filled with our CarbiGrip Carborundum anti-slip infill. CarbiGrip consists of Aluminium Oxide; otherwise known as Corundum, the second hardest mineral on the MOHS scale to industrial diamond; combined with other coloured aggregates set in cured resin. The Resin binds the aggregates directly into the Solid Brass Carrier resulting in an integral anti-slip infill which is impervious to water ingress. The natural hardness of the aluminium oxide, coupled with its naturally angular shape, creates a slip resistant surface which is extremely durable. And the inclusion of aluminium oxide through the whole infill creates an incredibly durable anti-slip surface which will far outlast any standard PVC/composite insert Strip or gritted insert products with only a surface coated layer such as GRP.
Our range of solid brass Carborundum filled stair edging inserts are designed to be rebated into preformed or cut grooves in your flooring surface and simply bonded into place with adhesive, and are suitable for use both internally and externally and even the heaviest foot trafficked areas including: Bars, Hotels, shops, Cafés, Offices, Theatres, and schools. They have a less industrial look then a traditional stair nosings and are perfect for areas where aesthetics are key.
Our range of Carborundum filled brass inserts are available in a range of metal finishes and with a range of CarbiGrip Infill Colours. The Brass Finishes available are: mill, satin, antique brass, and a bronze antique finish. Please note the mill brass is supplied as it comes from the mill and may have light scratching and blemishes on it, and the antiqued finishes are only surface finishes and not guaranteed against any wear. The range of antiqued finishes are designed to give the brass inserts a more traditional look and allow the brass to age naturally if the finish wears. However, If the antiqued finish applied to your brass inserts wears this can be easily touched up or reapplied with one of our touch up kits, please contact us to discuss.
