General description:
MF4 is a 5mm gauge solid brass stair nosing manufactured in the UK, featuring a traditional bullnose profile with a 71mm tread and 55mm riser. Available with CarbiGrip Carborundum, Ridged PVC or Ridged Brass inserts, the profile can be tailored to suit different environments, performance requirements and interior finishes.
CarbiGrip Carborundum infill provides excellent anti-slip performance for demanding internal and external applications. Available in a wide range of colours, it can also provide visual contrast against the surrounding stair finish. Where contrast is required, we recommend an LRV difference of at least 30 points between the infill and stair substrate.
Ridged PVC and Ridged Brass provide alternative insert options for internal applications. Both are supplied pre-taped but left loose, allowing the nosing to be mechanically fixed through the insert channel. The insert is then bonded over the fixings, concealing the screw heads for a clean finished appearance.
Available in satin brushed and our hand applied antique brass and bronze finishes, MF4 combines the character of a traditional bullnose profile with the durability of solid brass. Polished brass is also available with the Ridged PVC and Ridged Brass insert options. MF4 is particularly suited to hotels, restaurants, theatres, heritage buildings, retail environments and other premium commercial interiors.
