General description:

MF5 is a 5mm gauge solid brass stair nosing featuring a deeper 55mm riser for increased coverage to the face of the step. Manufactured in the UK, the profile is available with a choice of CarbiGrip Carborundum, Ridged PVC or Ridged Brass inserts, allowing it to be specified for a wide range of applications.

For demanding internal and external environments, our CarbiGrip Carborundum infill provides excellent anti-slip performance and is available in a wide range of colours. This allows a contrasting step edge to be created against the surrounding floor finish. Where visual contrast is required, we recommend an LRV difference of at least 30 points between the infill and stair substrate.

Ridged PVC and Ridged Brass inserts provide alternative options for internal applications. Both are supplied pre-taped but left loose, allowing the profile to be drilled and mechanically fixed through the insert channel. The insert is then bonded into position over the fixings, concealing the screw heads and creating a clean finished appearance.

MF5 is available in satin brushed and our hand applied antique brass and bronze finishes, with polished brass also available when specified with Ridged PVC or Ridged Brass inserts. With a 60.4mm tread and deeper 55mm riser, MF5 is well suited to hotels, restaurants, theatres, retail environments, heritage buildings and other premium commercial interiors.
