General description:

MF5R is a 5mm gauge solid brass stair nosing with an 83° rake back riser, designed specifically for staircases with angled risers. Manufactured in the UK, its 55mm riser provides generous coverage to the step face, while a choice of CarbiGrip Carborundum, Ridged PVC or Ridged Brass inserts allows the profile to suit a variety of applications.

For areas requiring increased anti-slip performance, CarbiGrip Carborundum infill provides a durable, high-grip surface suitable for demanding internal and external environments. Available in a wide range of colours, CarbiGrip can also be used to create visual contrast against the surrounding step. Where contrast is required, we recommend an LRV difference of at least 30 points between the infill and stair substrate.

For internal applications, MF5R can alternatively be specified with Ridged PVC or Ridged Brass inserts. These are supplied pre-taped but left loose, allowing the profile to be drilled and mechanically fixed through the insert channel. Once installed, the insert is bonded over the fixings to conceal the screw heads and provide a clean finished appearance.

MF5R is available in satin brushed and our hand applied antique brass and bronze finishes. Polished brass is also available with the Ridged PVC and Ridged Brass insert options. The combination of a 60.4mm tread, 55mm rake back riser and versatile insert options makes MF5R ideal for premium commercial, hospitality and heritage interiors.
