ME1 (QA35-30) Aluminium Ramped Edge Stair Nosing
Our ME1 (Previously QA35-30) aluminium anti slip stair edging is designed and manufactured in the UK to meet the needs of various commercial environments. ME1 consists of an aluminium profile with an integral ramped back edge, supplied with a choice of our Ridged PVC non-abrasive, Ridged Aluminium or our markagrip gritted anti-slip insert (recommended for external use), and is suitable for use in light-medium foot trafficked areas with a variety of flooring surface finishes such as LVT, Vinyl, Lino, Lightweight Carpets, Timer, concrete, and tiles.
The Body of the nosing is a square single channel profile that is available in either a Mill (LRV 88.10), Satin (lightly brushed – LRV 83.27), or Black Anodised (LRV a.92) surface finish; which can be ordered online cut to bespoke lengths up to 2750mm or can be supplied in stock sizes and easily cut to fit on site.
Our Ridged PVC Insert is design for internal stair installations, offering a softer, non-abrasive texture that’s gentle underfoot. The ridged surface enhances grip for improved anti-slip performance, reducing the risk of slips in busy areas. Our Ridged PVC insert is available in Carbon (LRV 2.85), Storm (LRV 16.82), Fog (LRV 31.66), Frost (LRV 62.84), Snow (LRV 78.84), and Canary (LRV 58.43).
Our Ridged Aluminium Insert provides the sleek appearance of appearance of a solid aluminium edgings with the added benefit of hidden fixings. As standard, the insert is supplied to match the nosing body, but contrasting combinations can be supplied upon request. Recommended for internal use, our Ridged Aluminium Insert is available in three finishes, Mill Aluminium (LRV 69.92), Satin Aluminium (LRV 51.99), and Black Anodised (LRV 1.11).
Our markagrip Gritted External Grade anti-slip insert option for our ME1 is made from aluminium oxide bonded to self-adhesive carrier and comes in at an overall 2mm thickness, which makes it suitable for use in a wide range of applications. Our markagrip insert offers great general anti-slip as it possesses excellent levels of grip (measured as Coefficient of Friction) , is water resistant, and has exceptional durability making it suitable for use in external or internal areas. Our markagrip external insert is available in Black (Average LRV 0) and Yellow (Average LRV 39.67).
The ME1 also has the added benefit of hidden fixings, as the aluminium body is drilled in the channel the insert sits in with the insert supplied loose. Our ridged PVC and markagrip inserts are also supplied slightly oversized. Simply take your nosing, screw it down, apply the self-adhesive insert into the channel covering the screws, then trim the insert once installed for an exact fit.
