QID25- 25mm Carborundum Discs
QID25 25mm Carborundum Anti-Slip Insert Discs are a heavy-duty, solution for step edges offering anti-slip and delineation in an aesthetically pleasing way.
Our QID25 Discs anti-slip carborundum insert discs are manufactured from a UV stable rigid PVC Carrier filled with our CarbiGrip Carborundum anti-slip infill. CarbiGrip consists of coloured aggregates blended with Aluminium Oxide; otherwise known as Corundum, the second hardest mineral on the MOHS scale to industrial diamond; set in cured resin. The natural hardness of the aluminium oxide, coupled with its naturally angular shape, creates a slip resistant surface which is extremely durable. And the inclusion of aluminium oxide through the whole infill creates an incredibly durable anti-slip surface which will far outlast any standard PVC/composite insert Strip or gritted insert products with only a surface coated layer such as GRP.
Suitable for use both internally and externally and even the heaviest foot trafficked areas including: public access areas such as Airports, railway stations, sports stadiums, Car parks, Hotels, Schools, Outdoor areas, shopping centres, and heavy industry.
Designed for installation into a pre-cut/cast rebate or cast in situ applications, they suitable for use in a variety of different subfloors including: concrete, stone, marble, terrazzo, ceramic and timber. A key benefit of these strips is their installation process, where instead of a large aluminium nosing they are bonded directly into the step tread using an adhesive. This allows them to be fitted on treads and risers alike and allows for a variety of configurations depending on your project.
Our QID25 discs have a diameter of 25mm, available in either 6mm or 8mm thick, and sold in packs of 50 discs with Black infill as standard. Other colours of CarbiGrip infill are available on request including: black, yellow, white, dark grey, light grey, dark brown and light brown.
We aim to deliver within 7 working days, some larger orders may take longer depending on stock levels, however if your project requires fast delivery please contact us to discuss stock and we will reduce this where possible.
