Project Overview
Quantick were approached by a flooring contractor working on the refurbishment of a busy London coffee shop. They required a bespoke stair nosing solution for a external curved feature step. The project called for a durable, high-performance product that would follow the exact radius of the step while providing excellent slip resistance in a high-footfall environment. Due to the curved design of the step, a standard stair nosing was not suitable. To ensure a precise fit and a high-quality finish, the step needed to be accurately templated before manufacture.
The Solution
Our team produced a template of the curved step, capturing its exact dimensions and radius. Using this template, we fabricated our MH1 Heavy Duty Aluminium Stair Nosing to match the profile perfectly.
The nosing was then finished with a premium satin brushed surface, creating a clean and contemporary appearance that complemented the coffee shop's interior design.
To maximise safety and durability, the nosing was filled with our Hazelnut CarbiGrip® carborundum infill. Once the infill had fully cured, the completed nosing underwent final quality checks before being hand delivered to site ready for installation.
